Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Amid the ongoing investigation into the teacher recruitment scam in West Bengal, a protest has been announced for June 25 by eligible Group C and Group D candidates under the banner of Adhikar Manch. The demonstration is scheduled to take place outside the School Service Commission (SSC) office, with participants demanding action on three specific points concerning recruitment transparency and timely appointments.
The demands include the immediate publication of the list of eligible candidates, public release of the scanned copies of all OMR sheets recovered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the swift appointment of 3,394 candidates who have already been declared eligible. The group claims that these steps are essential to restore due process in recruitment.
According to the protestors, despite multiple directions issued by the court, the authorities have not implemented the orders, resulting in prolonged delays. The Adhikar Manch has maintained that their demands are focused solely on ensuring transparency and reinstating eligible candidates based on existing legal directions.
